We are working on our schedule for 2022, so here is what we did in 2021 to give you an idea of what to expect.
Faith Development (Sunday School)
Faith Development (Sunday School) classes are offered for 3-year-olds through 5th-grade students on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am.
Faith Milestone
Prayer – On December 3, kindergarten students will learn more about prayer: how and why we pray, with a special focus on the Lord’s Prayer. They will then lead the Lord’s Prayer during a worship service on December 6.
Stewardship – On March 18, 1st-grade students will practice taking care of the gifts God has given us and learn about the importance of sharing what we have with others. They will then lead offering during worship on March 21, 2021.
Communion – In the spring, 2nd-grade students will learn about the sacrament of Holy Communion and celebrate this holy meal on Maundy Thursday, April 1, 2021. This milestone includes a special meal called Agape Feast on Palm Sunday, March 28, 2021.
Bible – On January 24, 2021, 3rd-grade students receive a new Bible and will learn more about how to read and use it.
Worship – In February, 4th-grade students will get a chance to experience worship from a whole new perspective! They will learn about the different elements of a worship service on Saturday, February 27, 2021 and help lead worship on February 28, 2021.
Service – In May, 5th grade students will participate in Community Serve Day and reflect on how their service and love of neighbor is an important part of their faith.
Movie Night
Movie Night is a ministry for all 2nd through 5th-grade children. It is most often held on the first Friday of each month from 6:30-8:30 pm.
