Holy Cross is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). The ELCA is a faith tradition that is open to all, regardless of background. It is over three million members strong, with congregations across the U.S., Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.
The term “evangelical” comes from the Greek word meaning “the good news” or the “gospel.”
