Life can be difficult, and we are not to bear our burdens alone. Also, we are not to check the struggles of life at the door of the church and put on our happy faces. This is a place to share your hurts, concerns, and the support of others. We as a congregation want to lean in deeply to building up the body of Christ through times of celebration and trauma.
PASTORAL CONVERSATIONS – Are you in a tough spot in your marriage? Dealing with anxiety? Have children who are dealing with depression and/or anxiety? Our rostered staff, Deacon Ellie Schmidtke and Pr. Meredith are open to meeting to discuss things on your heart and mind.
HOSPITAL VISITS – Hospitals, hospices, rehab, and care centers no longer notify us when our members are admitted. Please get in touch with us so that we may support you with prayer and presence.
HOME VISITS – If you want a visit from the pastoral team, please contact the church office. This team includes Stephen Ministers, lay leaders, and rostered staff.
PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY – Members of this team pray while knitting or crocheting shawls for those needing comfort and connection due to life circumstances.
If you or someone you know is going through a difficult time and would find comfort in being wrapped in the arms of Jesus by the warmth and prayers of a shawl, please contact the office.
PRAYER REQUESTS – In times of sorrow or celebration, we would love to pray for you. Please fill out the following form or call the church office. Let us know if this is a prayer to be shared with the congregation by first name, placed on the Prayer Chain with full name, or just for the rostered staff.
HOW CAN YOU HELP? Join our care team by providing home communion, visits, regular phone calls, greeting cards, and support to those in the midst of a life transition, crisis, or celebration. For more information about how you can serve on this team, contact Deacon Ellie Schmidtke.
PRAYER CHAIN – If you would like to be part of bearing one another’s burdens through prayer, please call Deacon Ellie. Emails are sent to the team (over 50 people) to lift up one another in prayer. How do I do this correctly? There is no “right” way to pray. Maybe it is building a list of prayer petitions and praying them on a morning walk, taking ten minutes at the start of your day, or during a coffee break – there are no rules!
