Parking

Two parking lots are available, one immediately south of the church and one to the north, across the street from the church on Robinhood Drive.

Handicapped Accessibility

Our entire building is accessible except for the one entrance under the east portico. We have an elevator to the second floor on the west side of the building. Our Trinity Center (gym) is accessible through the office door entrance.

Accessible parking is available in the south parking lot. Our entrances have automatic door entry, and an accessible restroom is located inside and to the right.

Worship accessibility: standing/kneeling is always optional.  Our service is projected so there is no need to hold a heavy hymnbook.

Holy Communion: we celebrate Holy Communion in a continuous fashion on the main floor (no stairs are required) to receive.

Preblessed Communion element packets are available in the small refrigerator for pick up outside the office entrance. It is good to know that our homebound and online congregation can commune with us.

Welcome Center

Holy Cross staff are designated with their name tags. So, feel free to inquire about any questions you may have.

Visit our Welcome Center which has a welcome gift and informational brochures to learn more about our congregation.

Like churches across the country, we are still getting back into the rhythm of volunteers to do the holy work of greeting, serving at the welcome desk, ushering, and helping prepare the table for Holy Communion.

during worship services

We welcome children in worship

We encourage parents to teach their children the faith by having them regularly attend worship. Children learn by worshipping! We have activity bags, children’s bulletins, and other material available for pick up in the entry and the Spark Children’s Bible in the pews. We also have several locations designated for children where they can still view worship.

  1. Worship Corner – directly behind the sanctuary
  2. The Family Place – has livestreamed worship, a children’s play area, and a nursing nook.
  3. Gathering Place – Overflow area, open to all at any time.

Faith Development (Sunday School) classes are offered for 3-year-olds through 5th grade at 9:00 am.

We also offer other educational experiences for youngsters. Click below for more information.

Holy Communion

We celebrate an open table, meaning you do not need to be a Lutheran or a member of our congregation to receive Holy Communion. We welcome all who believe in the mystery of Jesus’ presence in the bread and wine/juice.

Theologically all children are welcome to receive from the time of their baptism, but the timing is determined by parents. Please let the server know if your child receives it or not. If they do not yet receive Holy Communion, all children are welcome to come forward for a blessing.

In 2nd grade, we teach a Holy Communion Milestone. This is often the most frequent age for students to receive in our congregation. If you have any questions email Pastor Meredith.

Visitor & Communion Cards

We would like to know who is visiting us. Please fill out a Participation Card that is located in the pew in front of you.

Social Time

After the 7:45 am and 9:00 am Sunday services, many families meet in the “Gathering Place” to enjoy hot coffee, tasty treats, and socializing with new and old friends. Please join us!

Health & safety protocol

The safety of you and your loved ones is very important to us. That is why we have installed I-Wave purifiers throughout the building. This air purifier is designed to cleanse the air from viruses like COVID. As the air moves past the fan, positive and negative ions purify the air supply, killing mold, bacteria, and viruses in the coil and living space.

Masks are optional, hand sanitizers and prepackaged communion are always available.
